CALL FOR ARTISTS: ART VENDORS FOR ARTS IN THE PARK 2018 FESTIVAL!

On Saturday, August 18, 2018, artist and musicians will join forces at the 5th Annual Arts in the Park Festival at the Chesapeake Arts Center located at 194 Hammonds Lane, Brooklyn Park, Maryland 21225. Local artists will exhibit and offer their work for sale, while a festival of live music is presented from 11AM-3PM.

The Chesapeake Arts Center is currently accepting Art Vendor application until August 3, 2018.Space is limited and early registration is recommended! To All Vendors, Please Note: There is a $15.00 fee to reserve a spot at the CAC Arts in the Park festival. The free outdoor festival will include live music, Corn Hole, local art vendors, Face Painting and all different types of art and entertainment for all ages!

The Arts in the Park Festival is a great opportunity to see work of local artist and to enjoy some good music. For the music part of the festival, feel free to bring a lawn chair or blanket. CALL FOR ARTISTS FOR THE ART OF SOUND EXHIBIT AT THE CHESAPEAKE ARTS CENTER

Chesapeake Arts Center will be presenting the “Art of Sound” exhibition with artist Tom Pearce at the Hal Gomer Gallery located at the Chesapeake Arts Center at 194 Hammonds Lane Brooklyn Park, Maryland 21060 from August 2-August 31, 2017. Proposal is reviewed by the Chesapeake Arts Center’s Gallery Coordinator and must be turned in by Friday, July 21, 2017. Closing Reception on August 31, 2017 from 6-8PM.

Theme of the Exhibit:  MUSIC

SIZE OF ARTWORK ALLOWED

11X17-20X24  Photography pieces MUST be framed in Black Wood OR Metal Frames only! Canvas will be accepted. Artists frame own artwork with wire on the back.

How many can you submit? Artists can submit up to 5 pieces. Artwork will be selected by the Chesapeake Arts Center’s Gallery Coordinator. Only 15 pieces will be selected for this exhibit.

EACH PROPOSAL MUST BE INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

IMAGES OF YOUR WORK

The work should be no more than five years old, no nudity, violence or foul language allowed.

DIGITAL IMAGES: Send 5 images in jpeg format- no larger than 1024 pixels in any direction at 300 dpi for review. All image files are to be titled. Email to Nicole Caracia at Ncaracia@chesapeakearts.org by Friday, July 21, 2017.

A numerical listing including artist’s name, title, dimensions, medium, and file name of each jpeg sent with digital images.

CONDENSED BIO

One or two short paragraphs- A condensed informative statement with your artistic highlights.

Only complete proposal package including all the information listed will be reviewed.  If accepted into the art show, all artwork will be due to the Chesapeake Arts Center by Friday, July 28, 2017 between office hours of 10:00am-6:00pm.Artwork will go on display in the

Hal Gomer Gallery from Wednesday, August 2-Thursday, August 31, 2017.
