Chesapeake Arts Center Announces Open House Event

Brooklyn Park, Maryland:The Chesapeake Arts Center is hosting a public open house on Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 5:00pm-7:00 p.m. Featuring artist demonstrations, facility tours, and guests will be able to sample classes. The open house is a perfect occasion for visitors to become acquainted with the Center’s dynamic visual and performing arts programs for all ages.

In addition to featuring hands-on art activities, there will be opportunity to enter a raffle drawing for a variety of prizes, including two tickets to the Death by Turkey Murder Mystery Comedy show on Saturday, November 2, 2013 in the Studio 194 Theatre.

The Center’s 58,000 square foot facility, which opened in January 2001 in Northern Anne Arundel County, was designed for all types of entertainment and education. The facility houses an 816 seat Hammonds Lane Theatre, 120 seat Studio 194 Theatre, gallery space, ceramics lab, dance studios, music room, scene-shop and classrooms. The Chesapeake Arts Center is where people of all ages and skill levels can go to shape and develop creative talents.

The Center also offers more than 300 classes and events to the public each year, along with rotating art exhibitions in the gallery.
